- Not happy with the job? We come back and fix it at no charge.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Beast Landscaping Inc. (“Beast”, “we”, “us”), a landscaping, property maintenance and snow removal company based in Calgary, Alberta. They apply when you use our website or mobile app, book a service, request an estimate, or sign up for a seasonal plan.
By booking or creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you own the property or have the owner's permission for us to work on it.
Our Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy and Seasonal Plan Terms form part of these terms. Nothing in them limits rights you have under Alberta's Consumer Protection Act or other law that can't be waived.
2. Booking a service
When you book, you choose the service, the property, its size and a time window, and we show you the price before you confirm. The price is calculated from what you tell us, so please describe the property accurately.
Your booking is confirmed when we send you a confirmation by email. If the property turns out to be materially different from what was described (for example, much larger, or with far more snow or debris), we'll tell you the adjusted price before starting. You can accept it or cancel at no charge.
Time windows are our best estimate. Weather, traffic and earlier jobs can cause delays; we'll keep you updated in the app and by notification, and tell you when your crew is on the way. “As soon as possible” means the earliest crew available.
Larger or custom work is quoted after a free estimate. A quote is valid for 30 days from the day we send it, and becomes a booking when you accept it.
3. Your property and access
To let us do the job safely and well, please:
- make sure the work area is reachable — gates unlocked, vehicles moved off driveways being cleared;
- keep pets and children away from the work area while the crew is there;
- tell us about anything hidden or fragile: sprinkler heads, low-voltage lighting, buried cables, invisible pet fences, septic lids, or recently seeded areas.
If the crew can't safely reach or work on the property, we'll contact you to rebook. For work that involves digging, utility locates are arranged before we dig wherever the law requires them.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars. GST (5%) is added on your invoice. Nothing is charged when you book. A one-time or per-visit job is invoiced as soon as we confirm it, and payment is due immediately. A seasonal plan is billed monthly in advance.
We send your invoice by email: for a one-time or per-visit job as soon as we confirm it, due immediately; for other work when it's completed, due within 14 days. You can pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through our payment processor, or by Interac e-Transfer.
Card payments are processed on the processor's secure page; Beast never sees or stores your full card number. Interac e-Transfers are matched to your invoice using the reference you include.
Seasonal plans are billed monthly (see the Seasonal Plan Terms). If an invoice is past due, we may hold new bookings until it's settled.
5. Cancelling and rescheduling
You can cancel a booking free of charge from your account or tracking link until your crew is marked as on the way. After that, call or email us. The full rules, including refunds, are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
We may need to reschedule because of weather, unsafe conditions or crew availability. If we do, we'll tell you as early as we can and offer the next available time, or cancel at no charge if that doesn't suit you.
6. Our work and service guarantee
We do the work with reasonable care and skill. If a spot is missed or you're not happy with the job, tell us within 7 days and we'll send a crew back to fix it at no charge.
Results that depend on nature — plants taking root, grass growing in, how fast snow melts or new snow falls — can't be guaranteed, but we'll always tell you what to expect.
7. Damage and responsibility
If our crew damages your property, we'll make it right. Please report it within 7 days of the visit, with photos if you can, so we can look into it.
We aren't responsible for damage to hidden items you didn't tell us about, for conditions that existed before our visit, or for damage that normal snow clearing can't avoid (for example, to items left in a driveway under the snow or to lawn edges along a cleared path). Where the law allows, our responsibility for a job is limited to the amount paid for it, unless the damage was caused by our negligence.
8. Photos
You can add photos when you book to help the crew. Our crews may take before-and-after photos of the work for our records and to resolve questions. We won't publish photos that identify you or your property without your permission.
9. Your account and tracking links
Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity on your account. If you book without an account, your confirmation email contains a private tracking link — anyone who has that link can see the booking, so don't share it.
Please don't misuse the website or app — for example, by interfering with it, booking in someone else's name without permission, or submitting false information. We may close accounts that do.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and changes don't affect bookings already confirmed. If we make an important change we'll tell account holders by email.
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If something goes wrong, contact us first — most issues are solved with a conversation.
