What personal information we collect, why, who we share it with and how you can see, correct or delete it.
Last updated October 8, 2026
The short version
- We collect only what we need to book, do and bill the work.
- We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
- We never see or store your card number.
- Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion any time — we answer within 30 days.
1. Who we are
Beast Landscaping Inc. is responsible for the personal information it collects through its website, mobile app, emails and on-site work. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
2. What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email and, if you give it, phone number.
- Property details: the addresses you book for, their location on the map, property size and type, notes for the crew, and photos you add.
- Job records: what was booked, when, status updates, before-and-after photos taken by the crew, quotes, invoices and payments.
- Your location, only when you tap “Use my current location”, to fill in your address. We don't track your location in the background.
- A device notification token, if you allow notifications in the app.
- Account details: your password, which we store only as a secure one-way hash, and your language and theme preferences.
3. How we use it
- To schedule and carry out the work you book, and send crews to the right place.
- To send booking confirmations, “crew on the way” updates, quotes, invoices and receipts.
- To take payment and keep the business records the law requires.
- To answer your questions and resolve problems with a job.
We don't sell your information and don't use it for advertising. We send service emails about your bookings; we will only send marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them, and every one will have a way to unsubscribe, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation requires.
5. How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep job, invoice and payment records for as long as tax and business-record laws require (generally six years). Other information is kept while your account is active and deleted when you ask, unless we need it for those records.
Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, sessions are signed, connections are encrypted, and the links in our emails (tracking, payment, quotes) only open the record they were made for. If a breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we'll notify you and the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta as the law requires.
6. Your choices and rights
- Update your profile and saved addresses at any time from your account.
- Turn off notifications in your phone's settings, and location access whenever you like.
- Ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion of your account by emailing our privacy contact. We respond within 30 days.
- Withdraw your consent at any time; we'll explain what that means for any service we're providing.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
